What the role is really asking for

This is a detail-heavy operational role, but accuracy alone is not enough. The advert combines transactional purchasing, reporting from SAP and U4BW, query resolution, customer support and improvement work. Strong evidence will show that you can protect process standards while helping people get work unstuck.

The department asks for experience in a fast-paced customer setting, attention to detail, office software, ERP systems, clear communication, flexibility and collaborative problem-solving. Those requirements can often be proven through one well-chosen end-to-end example.

How to shape the application

The CV covers four recent roles at up to 100 words each. Use each entry to show a different part of the case: transaction volume and accuracy, system use, customer or supplier contact, process improvement, or team contribution.

For the 500-word statement, prioritise outcomes over task lists. A useful example could show how you found a discrepancy, assessed its effect, coordinated with the right people, corrected the record and prevented a repeat. Include the volume, time pressure or service standard so the panel can judge scale.

Do not simply say that you know SAP, Excel or another tool. Explain what you used it to control, report or improve.

Behaviour and interview preparation

For Managing a Quality Service, show how you understood the customer’s need, maintained standards and measured the result. For Working Together, use an example where different teams or suppliers had to share information or change course to resolve a problem.

Prepare follow-up detail on your own actions, checks, judgement and communication. Operational examples become much stronger when the panel can see exactly how you stopped an error, handled competing priorities or improved turnaround time.

Checks before you apply

Confirm the grade, working pattern, interview format and any ERP-specific expectations in the official advert. The page says the role is based in Swansea; check that the office arrangement is workable before investing in the application.
