What the role is really asking for

The advert draws a firm boundary between information architecture and software engineering. The post owns information design: metadata, taxonomies, classification, lifecycle requirements, findability and governance. Low-code tools are used to demonstrate or configure those requirements, while engineering defects remain with technical suppliers or delivery teams.

That distinction should be visible in your application. A purely technical CV may miss the governance and user dimensions; a purely policy-focused CV may fail to prove that you can turn standards into working structures and prototypes.

How to shape the application

The CV has a tight scope: the last three roles, what you delivered and the important achievements. Select bullets that establish the scale of the information environment, the problem you owned, the stakeholders involved and the result.

Use the 500-word statement to connect four capabilities:

• information modelling or classification;
• legal, security, retention or accessibility compliance;
• practical low-code configuration;
• communication across professional boundaries.

One integrated example can be stronger than four mini-examples if it shows the full chain from user need to governed solution. If you use multiple examples, give each one a distinct purpose and avoid repeating the CV.

Technical and interview preparation

Prepare to explain a metadata model or taxonomy in plain language: what problem it solved, how you validated it and how users found information more reliably afterwards. Be ready to discuss the limits of Power Platform configuration and the point at which you would hand work to an engineer or supplier.

Your evidence should also show judgement. For example, describe how you balanced usability with retention, security or data-protection requirements, and how you documented the decision so that others could apply it consistently.
